Please join us as we kick off the 2019-2020 year at the Historical League general membership business meeting, at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. A no-host catered lunch ($15) will follow the meeting, and the program is after lunch.
Norma Jean Coulter and Zona Lorig will present the program "Celebrating the History of Arizona Women and their Right to Vote, as well as to Serve in the State Legislature and Congress". This year, 2019-2020, is the centennial of women's right to vote when the 19th Amendment was passed. However, the persistence of these women allowed women in Arizona to vote before the U. S. constitutional amendment passed.
