Please join us as we kick off the 2022-2023 year in person for the Historical League general membership meeting at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park.
A general business meeting begins at 10:00 A.M. with our program and lunch to follow.
Program: The Historical League is looking forward to honoring a new group of Historymakers in October 2023, but what a trip down memory lane to see the 1993 Historymakers. The Historical League has video history from almost 30 years ago and this video will be shown. The second Gala was held at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, and these five men and one woman - John Rhodes, Dwight Patterson, Erma Bombeck, Bud Jacobson, Bill Kajikawa, and Jack Williams - made many contributions to the Valley in which we live. Our Historymaker Legacy Chair, Zona Lorig, will also show a 3-minute video from the 1992 Gala. Glen Campbell and chorus sing Makers of History, Makers of Dreams, a song with lyrics and music written by Charlotte Brooks.
Lunch may be purchased online or reserve your place with Mary McMahon and pay by check or cash in person by September 8th at 5:00 PM. Members with reservations are responsible for payment even if unable to attend.
