The Historical League is proud to present Turquoise & Tuxedos 2019 Arizona Historymakers TM Gala. On February 23, 2019 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, the Historical League will be honoring six new Arizona Historymakers for their contributions to Arizona’s heritage and culture.
Meet Our 2019 Arizona Historymakers:

Dr. Arthur DeCabooter, Educator and Land Preservationist
Michael J. Fox, Founding Director and CEO of Western Spirit: Scottsdale Museum of the West
Alfredo Gutierrez, Arizona State Senator & Community Activist
Merrill Mahaffey; Western Artist, Painter & Teacher
Vernon Swaback, Internationally Recognized Architect
The Historical League’s signature fundraising event will feature a special presentation of the six honorees and a silent auction, “Arizona Treasures,” with a curated collection of the unique goods and experiences our state has to offer.
Turquoise & Tuxedos Gala and the Arizona Historymakers program are presented every two years. Proceeds support the Historical League and the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park as it continues to expand its programs and exhibits for children, our community and visitors to our state.
